Rhamondre Stevenson A Lock To Make The Team
4 years agoNew England Patriots fourth-round rookie running back Rhamondre Stevenson, who has drawn early comparisons to LeGarrette Blount because of his hard-charging style at 227 pounds, is a lock to make the final roster out of training camp. "We've got some pretty good players, so he's going to have to beat somebody out if he's going to get on the field. We're not just going to give him a free ride," assistant coach Ivan Fears said. Stevenson has potential, but the Patriots also have a notable history of rookie backs going through an initial "redshirt" season before becoming key contributors. The Oklahoma product impressed with his pass-catching in offseason workouts, but with Damien Harris, James White and Sony Michel also in the picture, it's hard to see him having a big enough role in his rookie season to make him attractive in redraft leagues.
