Redskins Activate Derrius Guice From Injured Reserve
5 years agoThe Washington Redskins officially activated running back Derrius Guice (knee) from the Injured Reserve on Wednesday. The second-year back is eligible to play when the team returns from their bye to face the Jets in Week 11. Guice was out all of his rookie year with a torn ACL and was injured in the season opener this year. He should be able to assume a large workload in the backfield the rest of the season, which is bad news for both Adrian Peterson and Chris Thompson (toe). Guice has the most upside of anyone in this backfield, but he'll be running behind a poor offensive line. Consider him a shaky RB3/flex until we know more about how Washington will split up the carries moving forward. He's worth stashing in most leagues, especially if you're hurting at running back.
