Red Sox Sign Kyle Barraclough To Minor-League Deal
1 year agoThe Boston Red Sox signed free-agent veteran right-hander Kyle Barraclough to a minor-league deal on Monday, according to a source. Barraclough will return to the big leagues after pitching in the Atlantic League for the High Point Rockers. He made only eight appearances out of the bullpen last year for the Los Angeles Angels, giving up three runs on seven hits while walking four and striking out nine in nine innings. The 33-year-old will most likely join Triple-A Worcester while providing the Red Sox with some organizational relief depth. In his seven-year big-league career, Barraclough has a 3.61 ERA (3.93 FIP), 1.36 WHIP, 11 saves and a 28.9 percent strikeout rate in 274 1/3 relief innings.
