Rece Hinds Homers In Big-League Debut Monday
5 months agoCincinnati Reds outfielder Rece Hinds had a memorable big-league debut in Monday's 6-0 win over the Rockies. Batting eighth, Hinds went 2-for-3 with a double and a solo home run. He also made a sliding catch. The 23-year-old obliterated an eighth-inning Tyler Kinley offering, sending it 449 feet into the left-center seats for the second-longest HR by a player making his MLB debut in the Statcast era. While his debut was exciting, Hinds was only slashing .216/.290/.409 with Triple-A Louisville before getting the call, so fantasy managers may want to wait to see a bit more before deciding to take further interest in him.
