Ravens Reach Extension With Marcus Peters
5 years agoThe Baltimore Ravens and Pro Bowl cornerback Marcus Peters agreed to a three-year, $42 million contract extension on Saturday, according to a source. The deal includes $32 million guaranteed, which is 76 percent of the total contract. Peters will make $20.5 million in the first year, and the new extension will allow him to hit the free-agent market when he's 29 years old. Peters made an immediate impact for Baltimore's defense when they acquired him from the Rams this year. In nine games for the Ravens, he has 38 total tackles (31 solo), three interceptions (two for TDs) and 10 passes defensed. He's a big reason why the Ravens Defense has become elite in the second half of the season and a big reason why they are the No. 1 seed in the AFC playoffs this year.
