Ravens Reach Contract Extension With John Harbaugh
6 years agoThe Baltimore Ravens agreed in principle to a contract extension with head coach John Harbaugh with "some lawyer stuff left to do," according to a source. Harbaugh inserted rookie quarterback Lamar Jackson into the starting role over Joe Flacco in the middle of the season and led the team to a 10-6 record, the AFC North title and their first playoff berth since 2014. The 56-year-old is the fifth winningest active coach in the league with a 114-77 record. He has taken the Ravens to the playoffs in seven of his 11 seasons, including a Super Bowl win in 2012. Baltimore has just one losing season under Harbaugh. His presence moving forward is good news for the development of Jackson under center.
