Rashaad Penny Suffers Fractured Tibia
2 years agoSeattle Seahawks running back Rashaad Penny (leg) was diagnosed with a fractured tibia, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. It was initially believed that the 26-year-old suffered an ankle injury. However, the news is much worse, with Penny next heading for testing to determine if surgery is required. The oft-injured veteran, who played only 13 games over the last two seasons, may be done for a while, if not for the remainder of the 2022-23 campaign. With Travis Homer (ribs) on the injured reserve list, the team will likely turn to Kenneth Walker III and DeeJay Dallas, although the former is expected to lead the backfield. Walker finished the Week 5 loss to the Saints by amassing 88 yards and a touchdown off eight carries. The rookie will surely draw waiver interest during the week, so fantasy managers should be prepared to act.
