Rashaad Penny Suffers Broken Finger In Practice
6 years agoSeattle Seahawks rookie running back Rashaad Penny (finger), a first-round pick, suffered a hand injury that includes a broken finger in practice on Monday, according to multiple reports. Penny is expected to miss some time, but the exact timetable for his return is unknown. He had 16 yards on eight carries in the first preseason game as the No. 2 back behind Chris Carson. Penny's stock has been falling in training camp with Carson securing the lead-back role, and this injury will further hurt his fantasy value in his rookie season. Mike Davis, who led the running backs in yards last year, will likely be the backup to Carson for however long Penny is out. Penny's injury also further solidifies Carson as the team's top back heading into Week 1.
