Rashaad Penny May Struggle For Touches On Thursday
6 years agoSeattle Seahawks rookie running back Rashaad Penny, who had his first 100-yard game and first touchdown of his career in Week 10 against the Rams, may see his role shrink significantly this Thursday against the Packers with Chris Carson (hip) expected to return from a one-game absence and start. “Yeah, yeah, but when everybody’s healthy, not everybody’s going to get the ball a lot,” head coach Pete Carroll said this week. “That’s just the way it goes, so we’ll figure that out." Penny was a hot waiver pickup this week, but temper expectations with Carson back in the fold. Penny didn't see an immediate increase in snaps after he scored for the first time on Sunday, so it doesn't necessarily mean he'll be heavily involved coming off his big game. Mike Davis might be third behind Penny now, but it doesn't mean you should be confident in using Penny as an RB3/flex on Thursday.
