Philadelphia Phillies starting pitcher Ranger Suarez will be called up to start one of the games of a doubleheader against the Mets on Thursday. Suarez allowed six hits (two home runs) and four earned runs in five innings in a win in his major league debut against the Reds on July 26. The left-hander has a 2.89 ERA, 1.22 WHIP and 6.5 K/9 over 18 starts at two minor league levels this years. He's a risky streamer but a potential gamble against the Mets in the deepest of leagues on Thursday. Per MLB Pipeline, Suarez is the club's No. 8 prospect.
