Randy Arozarena Continues To Struggle
1 year agoTampa Bay Rays outfielder Randy Arozarena went 0-for-3 with a walk and a strikeout in a 4-2 loss to the Detroit Tigers on Saturday. The 28-year-old All-Star is mired in a bad slump at the moment, going just 2-for-23 over his last seven games and slashing a brutal .155/.242/.291 over the last 30 contests (110 at-bats). He does have four home runs and three stolen bases over that 30-game stretch but his current production is a far cry from what it was over the first three months of the season. Arozarena's season stats still look decent, which shows you how incredible he was in April-June, but the recent halt in production likely has fantasy managers concerned. Overall, he's slashing .252/.360/.430 with 18 home runs. 64 RBI, and 12 stolen bases over 384 at-bats. He's just two home runs from matching a career best, which he set back in 2021 and 2022. He's still got some time to turn things around and is an interesting buy-low candidate if your fantasy trade deadline hasn't passed yet.
