Randall Cobb Lands In Houston
5 years agoThe Houston Texans agreed to a three-year, $27 million deal with former Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Randall Cobb on Monday night. The deal includes $18.75 million in guarantees. Houston traded away DeAndre Hopkins in a head-scratching move earlier in the day, so Cobb will try to help fill the void that Nuk left behind. The Texans will most likely address the position in the draft, too, but Cobb should have a starting role alongside Will Fuller and Kenny Stills. The 29-year-old could see heavy targets from quarterback Deshaun Watson after catching 55 passes for 828 yards (15.1 yards per catch) and three touchdowns in his one and only season with Dallas. Depending on who else the Texans add, Cobb could be a PPR sleeper in 2020.
