Rams Had "Unanimous Agreement" To Keep Matthew Stafford For 2023

Los Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford was in the trade rumor headlines this offseason, but head coach Sean McVay said the organization was in "unanimous agreement" to keep the veteran quarterback for at least one more season. Stafford struggled through elbow and spinal cord injuries in his 14th NFL campaign last year, throwing for just 2,087 yards, 10 touchdowns, and eight interceptions in nine starts. Still, multiple teams called Los Angeles about a potential trade for the 35-year-old gun-slinger. It looks like he'll remain the starter for Los Angeles in 2023 -- barring any injury setbacks. That said, rookie quarterback Stetson Bennett could draw a start or two if the team has a poor record heading into the final weeks of the regular season.
