Ramon Laureano Day-To-Day With Side Soreness
2 years agoOakland Athletics outfielder Ramon Laureano (side) was removed from Sunday's game against the Houston Astros due to left side soreness. A's manager Mark Kotsay stated that Laureano began experiencing the soreness during his at-bat in the fourth inning of the game. He is being considered day-to-day. The 28-year-old has been struggling at the plate over the last few months. He hit just .196/.278/.443 in July and has compiled a .214/.250/.333 slash line so far in August while being caught stealing on each of his two stolen base attempts this month. He owns a .223/.300/.395 slash line over 84 games on the year to go along with 12 home runs, 10 stolen bases, 29 RBI and 44 runs.
