Ramon Laureano Day-To-Day While In Concussion Protocol
2 years agoOakland Athletics outfielder Ramon Laureano (concussion) is in the league's concussion protocol and will remain day-to-day, according to manager Mark Kotsay. Laureano went 0-for-1 at the plate before leaving Monday's game against the New York Yankees early due to a head injury. While Laureano is technically day-to-day, there is a very real possibility that he'll land on the concussion injured list, and fantasy managers need to be prepared for that. If the 28-year-old is forced to miss some time, JJ Bleday and Brent Rooker would see most of the playing time in right field for Oakland. Coming into Monday's contest, Laureano was hitting just .225 (20-for-89) with five doubles, a triple, three home runs, six RBI, three steals and seven runs scored in 23 games played. He's not a must-stash in shallow mixed leagues if he goes on the IL.
