Ramon Laureano Cools Significantly After Suspension
4 years agoOakland Athletics outfielder Ramon Laureano appealed the suspension that he received for sparking a benches-clearing brawl against Houston, but ever since he returned, he has been lacking production. Entering play Tuesday, he has gone 3-for-24 since rejoining the lineup without an extra-base hit or RBI. While still an excellent source of on-base percentage (.372) for the season, the power that Laureano supplied last year has been missing (.521 SLG in 2019; .371 in 2020). With his Statcast metrics all but backing his current production, Laureano has seen himself slide into a deep league option only at this stage. He gets another crack at facing the Astros this weekend, which may give him some DFS appeal depending on how the rotation shakes out.
