Raisel Iglesias Moved To Braves
2 years agoLos Angeles Angels closer Raisel Iglesias has been traded to the Atlanta Braves. This is another last minute trade deadline move as the Braves look to bolster their bullpen. In exchange for Iglesias, the Angels will receive pitchers Jesse Chavez and Tucker Davidson. This season, Iglesias holds a 4.04 ERA with 48/9 K/BB ratio and 16 saves through 35.7 innings. This move will most likely hurt Iglesias considering he won't be the closer in Atlanta. He'll likely still pitch in high leverage spots, but it might not always be the ninth inning. As for the Angels, they get two MLB arms to immediately help their roster. Chavez has a 2.66 ERA through 44 games and Davidson has struggled this season, but shown flashes during his career. The expectation is that both of them will be on the Angels roster right away.
