Raisel Iglesias Allows Run But Earns Save Tuesday
1 year agoIt wasn't clean, but Atlanta Braves closer Raisel Iglesias managed to convert his 10th save of the season in Tuesday's 4-2 win over the Phillies. Iglesias entered the game to pitch the ninth inning up by three. He allowed a leadoff double, got the first out on a fly-out, got the second out on an RBI groundout, allowed a single, and ended the game with a strikeout. The 33-year-old has been uncharacteristically inconsistent this season, converting 10 of 12 save opportunities with a 4.34 ERA and 11.09 K/9 rate. He should be given a relatively long leash given his career pedigree, but A.J. Minter (who pitched the seventh inning of this game), has seen almost as many save opportunities as Iglesias over the past few weeks. Fantasy managers shouldn't panic at this time, but they may want to keep an eye on Minter.
