Rafa Cabrera Bello Should Not Be Backed In The Quad Cities
3 years agoThere's not much of a case to be made for taking a chance on Rafa Cabrera Bello at the John Deere Classic. Over his last 36 rounds, the Spaniard ranks outside the top 100 in strokes gained approach, opportunities gained, birdies or better gained, par five scoring, and proximity from 125-150 yards. Bello has missed three of his last four cuts, and he has not recorded a top-10 finish on the PGA Tour since the Arnold Palmer Invitational in 2019. The three-time European Tour winner continues to lose strokes on approach, and it is getting worse by the week. Even in a weak field, there are far more reliable options at Bello's price point.
