Rachaad White Wants To Surpass 1,000 Yards
1 year agoTampa Bay Buccaneers running back Rachaad White should see a bigger role on the offense next season. The 24-year-old was stuck as the backup to Leonard Fournette throughout most of his rookie season. Despite that, White rushed for 481 yards and hauled in 290 yards as a receiver. The former third-round pick believes he can surpass 1,000 rushing yards next season. If he does, it'll be the first time a Buccaneer has done that since Doug Martin in 2015. In theory, White should be able to achieve this goal with Fournette no longer on the roster. Chase Edmonds is basically the only competition to White, which means White should be the lead back. The Bucs are likely going to go run-heavy with Baker Mayfield or Kyle Trask under center. White is looking like a possible breakout candidate heading into next season.
