Quinn Priester Trying To Break Camp
9 months agoPittsburgh Pirates starting pitcher Quinn Priester allowed one run on two hits with one walk and one strikeout against the Toronto Blue Jays in Tuesday's Grapefruit League contest. The 23-year-old came on in relief in this contest but will remain in a starting role, either for the Pirates or in Triple-A. Priester entered last season as the Pirates' top pitching prospect, but struggled during his rookie campaign by posting a 7.74 ERA and 1.70 WHIP across eight starts (10 appearances) at the big-league level. Still, Priester remains one of the Pirates' top prospects and will continue to make a case to break camp in the starting rotation, with Bailey Falter being his main competition. Priester can be ignored in redraft leagues for now, with his biggest value being in dynasty platforms.
