Quinn Priester Struggles In First Appearance Since Trade
4 months agoBoston Red Sox starting pitcher Quinn Priester took the mound for Triple-A Worcester on Sunday, completing 2 1/3 innings and allowing eight runs on six hits and four walks while striking out four. Throughout this season, Priester has been bouncing between Triple-A and MLB, combining for a 5.02 ERA in 80 2/3 total innings. After spending most of July in the big leagues, he was demoted to Triple-A after the Red Sox acquired him from Pittsburgh. Unless a pitcher in Boston's current rotation has to miss time, Priester will likely need to improve before he's recalled to the majors.
