Questions Remain Regarding Lonzo Ball's Role This Season
7 months agoChicago Bulls guard Lonzo Ball (knee) continues to move toward a return to the National Basketball Association. The 26-year-old hasn't played since January 2022, undergoing multiple surgical procedures on his left knee, including receiving a meniscus transplant from a donor. Fortunately, he increased his workload throughout the summer, progressing to five-on-five scrimmages. Before going down with the injury, Ball had one of the best seasons of his career, averaging 13.0 points, 5.4 rebounds, 5.1 assists, and 1.8 steals. He also shot a much-improved 42.3% from deep. With that said, Ball will likely see the court sparingly once he's cleared to return. But the Bulls have a loaded backcourt featuring Josh Giddey, Coby White, and Ayo Dosunmu. Zach LaVine is also still in the picture, at least for now. As a result, if Ball will have any value for fantasy managers in 2024-25, it may not come for at least a few months, meaning he won't see much attention during fantasy drafts.

Lonzo Ball Out Again On Monday
4 days agoChicago Bulls point guard Lonzo Ball (wrist) is unavailable for Monday's matchup with the Oklahoma City Thunder. Ball will miss his 15th straight game due to a sprained right wrist. With Kevin Huerter (thumb) also out, 22-year-old Dalen Terry could get the nod to start this evening. Terry finished with eight points, five rebounds, four assists and one steal across 26 minutes in a 120-119 loss to Dallas on Saturday. He could have added fantasy value with the potential of a heavier workload against the Thunder.

Lonzo Ball Downgraded To Out Thursday
1 week agoChicago Bulls point guard Lonzo Ball (wrist) will not make his comeback in Thursday's game against the Los Angeles Lakers. Ball is expected to return to the lineup this week and was initially listed as questionable for Thursday. Unfortunately, he is not ready to return, marking his 13th consecutive game missed. Kevin Huerter, who has made seven straight starts, will continue to have extra fantasy value due to Ball's absence. He has averaged 15.3 points, 4.3 rebounds, 4.0 assists, and 1.3 steals during his recent run as a starter.

Lonzo Ball Could Be Back In Action Against Lakers
1 week agoChicago Bulls point guard Lonzo Ball (wrist) is considered questionable for Thursday's game against the Los Angeles Lakers. Earlier this week, it was revealed that Ball is expected to return from his wrist injury during the team's two-game homestand, which begins Thursday. He may take the place of Josh Giddey (wrist), who is also listed as questionable for the matchup. Tre Jones (foot) will definitely be sidelined, paving the way for Ball to make an immediate impact. The former Laker averaged 10.0 points, 3.4 rebounds, and 2.1 assists in 26.7 minutes last month before injuring his right wrist.

Lonzo Ball Remains Out For Saturday
3 weeks agoChicago Bulls guard Lonzo Ball (wrist) will miss his seventh straight game Saturday against the Houston Rockets as he continues to deal with a right wrist sprain. The 27-year-old has struggled with injuries, making it tough to rely on his availability. His next chance to return comes Monday against the Jazz, but his status remains uncertain. If Josh Giddey (ankle) is also ruled out, Tre Jones and Kevin Huerter should see increased minutes.
