Pyotr Kochetkov To Return Tuesday
9 months agoCarolina Hurricanes goaltender Pyotr Kochetkov will be the starting goaltender for Tuesday's contest versus the visiting Vancouver Canucks. The young netminder has been out since Jan. 11 due to a concussion suffered in a crease collision versus the Anaheim Ducks. It's been a decent season for the 24-year-old who sports a 2.58 goals-against average and a .900 save percentage across 23 outings (21 starts), going 11-7-3 in that time. It's been a whirlwind between the pipes for the Hurricanes this season as Frederik Andersen has been out since Nov. 2 due to blood clots while veteran Antti Raanta has mostly struggled but was forced to start six of the Hurricanes' past seven games.
