Phillies To Make Manny Machado Another Offer
6 years agoThe Philadelphia Phillies remain primarily interested in free-agent shortstop Manny Machado, and they are expected to make a second offer to the superstar this week. The White Sox and Yankees remain interested in him as well. While the Phils will meet with free-agent outfielder Bryce Harper in person in Las Vegas this Saturday, they haven't made him a formal offer and it's unclear if they will. It remains unlikely that the Phillies will sign both Machado and Harper. Machado could receive a deal close to 10 years and over $300 million as one of the best shortstops in the game both offensively and defensively. Philly would be a great environment for him in terms of fantasy as well.
