4 months agoAfter a strong performance in the Florida Complex League, the Philadelphia Phillies will promote catcher Eduardo Tait to Single-A Clearwater. Tait, 17, has hit .321 with six homers and 49 RBI over 184 at-bats in Rookie Ball. The left-handed hitter out of Panama makes good contact at the plate at such a young age and should continue to improve his power as his body fills out. In his debut season, Tait threw out 44% of attempted baserunners, making it clear that he is likely to remain a backstop throughout his career. At such a young age, Tait doesn't need to be rostered in any format, but it wouldn't hurt dynasty managers to keep tabs on Tait.--Daniel Burdeen - RotoBaller
