Phillies, Cesar Hernandez Avoid Arbitration
7 years agoPhiladelphia Phillies second baseman Cesar Hernandez avoided salary arbitration by agreeing to a one-year, $5.1 million deal, according to a source. Hernandez has quietly put himself on the fantasy map after hitting over .290 each of the last two seasons while also stealing at least 15 bases in each of the past two years, and he also managed nine homers in 128 games in 2017. He also has reliable on-base skills and is a solid defender, which gives him plenty of value for fantasy owners atop the team's lineup.
