Seattle Kraken goaltender Philipp Grubauer (lower body) could start Tuesday's road game against the New York Islanders, potentially his first outing since Dec. 9. The veteran suffered a lower-body injury in the second period of a loss to the Tampa Bay Lightning and was put on Injured Reserve one day later. It's been tough sledding once again for Grubauer, who has largely scuffled in his Kraken tenure. The 32-year-old sports a 3.25 goals-against average and an .884 save percentage across 17 games on the season, going just 5-9-1 in that time. Fellow netminder Joey Daccord has stepped up with a 2.36 GAA and .921 save percentage across 36 appearances for Seattle, so Grubauer could very well act as the backup goaltender for the remainder of the season.--Brenton Kemp
