Philip Rivers Going Year-To-Year
6 years agoLos Angeles Chargers quarterback Philip Rivers, who has one year remaining on his current deal, said he's taking things year-to-year at this point in his career. The 37-year-old will make a base salary of $11 million in 2019 and count $23 million against the salary cap. General manager Tom Telesco said last week that the team plans to start talks about a new contract for Rivers. He made his eighth Pro Bowl and completed 68.3 percent of his passes for 4,308 yards, 32 touchdowns and a 105.5 passer rating. Based on where he was drafted, he was a steal for fantasy owners as a QB1.
