Pheonix Copley Stops 31 Shots In Home Victory
6 years agoWashington Capitals goaltender Pheonix Copley allowed just two goals on 33 shots in Monday's 4-2 victory against the Edmonton Oilers. Copley allowed a power-play goal to Connor McDavid, and he was beaten midway through the third period by Leon Draisaitl, but he did a good job shutting down the high-octane offense of the Oilers. Copley has stepped in and filled the backup job previously held by Philipp Grubauer, giving Braden Holtby a much-needed breather. Holtby will be back in net Wednesday against the Pittsburgh Penguins. Copley is not worth using in most seasonal fantasy pools, but he's a decent mid-tier DFS play when the matchup is favorable.
