5 years agoTampa Bay Buccaneers head coach Bruce Arians said that running back Peyton Barber will start on Thursday against the Panthers, with Ronald Jones II ready to step in after. The Bucs will then go with the hot hand after that. Even though Barber played more snaps (36%) in Week 1 than Jones (31%), Jones looked much better and had more touches (14) to Barber's 10. Dare Ogunbowale's presence on passing downs hurts both Jones and Barber, but Jones has much more upside and should eventually take over the lead-back role in 2019. If you're going to own anyone from this backfield, it should be Jones. At best, Jones is a low-ceiling RB3/flex for Week 2.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
