Pete Alonso Hitting In The Cage

According to Mets manager Buck Showalter, first baseman Pete Alonso (wrist) hit in the cage on Thursday. The 28-year-old has 22 home runs and 49 RBI in 62 games this season. Unfortunately, he suffered a bone bruise and sprain in his left wrist during a game against Atlanta, which is expected to keep him out for up to four weeks. That said, Alonso is moving in a favorable direction, especially since he was observed taking ground balls on Tuesday, so hopefully, he'll be back as soon as possible. But in the meantime, fantasy managers should keep him stashed.
