Paul Skenes Named To All-Star Team
5 months agoPittsburgh Pirates starting pitcher Paul Skenes was named to the National League All-Star team on Sunday. This is a first in what will likely be many All-Star appearances for the 22-year-old flamethrower. This season, Skenes has a 5-0 record with a 2.12 ERA, 1.01 WHIP, and 78/12 K/BB ratio across 10 starts. Skenes becomes the only MLB player in history to become an All-Star after being drafted the previous year. It certainly appears that the Pirates have a true ace on their hands for years to come.
