Paul Sewald Tosses Perfect Inning
5 months agoArizona Diamondbacks relief pitcher Paul Sewald came in for a non-save situation during Sunday's game against the Oakland Athletics. The D-Backs were already up four runs, but handed the ball to Sewald anyway. The right-hander struck out two batters as he tossed a perfect ninth inning on Sunday. The 34-year-old has been fantastic on the mound this season. He holds a 0.54 ERA, 0.48 WHIP, and 15/3 K/BB ratio across 18 appearances. He remains one of the top tier closing options in baseball right now.
