Paul Goldschmidt Dealing With a Sore Elbow Again
5 years agoSt. Louis Cardinals first baseman Paul Goldschmidt is dealing with elbow soreness again. He'll be looked at by team doctors, but manager Mike Shildt has already said, "it's going to be a couple of days." He'll be eased back in and at least for now there doesn't seem to be any concern about "Goldy" missing Opening Day. That could change quickly depending on how he recovers. Goldschmidt already missed some Grapefruit League time with the elbow soreness, but seemed to have recovered after some rest. The Cardinals will likely want to ease him in as a spring training DH before having him play the field. The hope is that there will be enough time for all of that before the Cardinals break camp.
