Paul Casey Withdraws From Players Championship
7 years agoJust three days after finishing T5 at the Wells Fargo Championship, Paul Casey informed officials for the Players Championship that he was withdrawing due to a back injury. Prior to Casey withdrawing, the event was slated to feature every golfer in the top-50 of the official world rankings, something that hadn't happened in over two years. Keith Mitchell, a 26 year old Web.com Tour graduate will take Casey's place in the field. Mitchell is currently ranked 76th in the FedEx Cup standings. Casey should be removed from all DFS lineups and he has an uncertain future going forward.
