4 years agoMiami Marlins rookie relief pitcher Paul Campbell worked as the bulk reliever in Sunday's game against the San Francisco Giants. After Ross Detwiler served as the opener and pitched one inning, Campbell came in and pitched the second, third, and fourth innings. He allowed three runs on four hits with two walks and five strikeouts. All three of the runs Campbell allowed came in his first inning of work before he was able to settle in to pitch two scoreless frames. Campbell has struggled to an 8.22 ERA. As a Rule 5 pick, he can't be sent down and needs to either stick on the Marlins roster all season or be offered back to his original team. The Marlins may have a tough decision to make on Campbell soon.--David A Marcillo - RotoBaller
