Patriots Likely To Feature A Lot Of Two-Tight End Sets
2 years agoThe New England Patriots' new-look offense under offensive coordinator Bill O'Brien will likely feature a heavy dosage of two-tight end sets that will resemble what we saw in O'Brien's first stint with the team, writes Patriots.com's Evan Lazar. That means a lot of Hunter Henry and new tight end Mike Gesicki. In spring workouts, Gesicki's natural pass-catching skills and alignment flexibility gave the team a clearer path to featuring both TEs on the field together. He was impactful running the seam, stretching the field horizontally and showing decent separation quickness. Gesicki will probably have the higher fantasy ceiling, but the fact that both Gesicki and Henry will be fighting for targets will most likely keep their price low as TE2s in drafts this fall.
