1 year agoChicago Cubs third baseman Patrick Wisdom (wrist) will serve as the designated hitter during Friday's game with Triple-A Iowa. The 31-year-old continues to work his way back from a wrist sprain that has sidelined him the last two weeks. Before that, Wisdom was slashing .196/.285/.467 with 14 home runs and 28 RBI in 51 games for the Cubs. The hope is that Wisdom will be ready to rejoin the team around the All-Star break.
