6 years agoKansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes was hyped up all offseason and maybe that was for a good reason. Mahomes was 15-for-27 with 256 passing yards and four touchdowns in the 38-28 win over the Los Angeles Chargers on Sunday. The Chargers pass defense was supposed to be fairly strong, but they couldn't handle Mahomes in Week 1. This was his second NFL start and he went out there looking like a veteran quarterback. The biggest issue in camp was interceptions and Mahomes did not throw a single pick against the Chargers on Sunday. He's now put himself in the QB1 discussion.--Andy Webb - RotoBaller
