Patrick Corbin Allows Three Runs Against Yankees
4 years agoWashington Nationals starter Patrick Corbin turned in a mediocre performance Friday in the Nationals' 11-3 win against the New York Yankees in the Bronx. The southpaw allowed three earned runs on only four hits with zero walks. Unsurprisingly, the long ball was the issue yet again for Corbin. Three solo homers -- one to Gary Sanchez and two to DJ LeMahieu -- were what accounted for all of the Bronx Bombers' runs. Corbin has now allowed 10 dingers in only six starts and with only one clean start of zero homers. A consistent fantasy presence since 2017, Corbin is still firmly outside the circle of trust. Now sporting a 7.36 ERA and 1.53 WHIP, fantasy managers are going to need to see those numbers improve significantly before Corbin can be considered for standard league use.
