Patrice Bergeron Finds Score Sheet Again In Saturday's Win
6 years agoBoston Bruins center Patrice Bergeron played a big hand in his team clinching a playoff spot on Saturday night, collecting a goal and an assist in a 7-3 defeat of the Florida Panthers. In addition to producing the pair of points, the 33-year old filled up the box score in this one - contributing a plus-three rating, a game-high six shots and a hit in 17:27 of ice time. It's been another phenomenal season for the Bruin's captain in 2018-2019 and following Saturday's performance, Bergeron is one point shy of breaking his career-best 73-point season established back in 2005-2006 campaign. It's not common to see a player heralded for being one of the league's best defensive forward suddenly turn into one of the game's top scorers in his mid-thirties but Bergeron has done just that with 73 points (31 goals, 42 assists) in just 59 games this season. He's a legitimate top-25 fantasy player and should be active in lineups once again when his team takes on the Tampa Bay Lightning.
