6 years agoColorado Rockies infielder Pat Valaika was recalled from Triple-A Albuquerque on Saturday to replace reliever Yency Almonte. Valaika was hitting just .120 for the Rockies in limited time as a fill-in for DJ LeMahieu when he was injured earlier in the season, and he's expected to only serve as an extra bench bat who covers off days once in a while.
