Pat Neshek Making Another Rehab Outing Tuesday
6 years agoAt long last, Philadelphia Phillies reliever Pat Neshek (forearm, shoulder) made a rehab outing with Single-A Clearwater on Saturday without any setbacks occurring. Now the 37-year-old is set to make another with Double-A Reading on Tuesday, and while Neshek admits he’s feeling increasingly better, he’s not quite sure when he would return. The All-Star reliever has not pitched yet this season because of injuries to his shoulder and forearm. At this point, it’s unclear what position Neshek will have in the bullpen, but a prominent role in the upper part of the bullpen depth chart seems more than likely, and he could possibly be an option in the ninth inning, too.
