1 month agoGreen Bay Packers wide receiver Dontayvion Wicks (shoulder) didn't return to Sunday's meeting with the Arizona Cardinals. After the game, the wideout reported that while he was in pain, he just had issues moving it after the injury. Fortunately, he classified himself as "day to day" with a "sprain," adding he's "going to be good" for the Week 7 matchup versus the Houston Texans. Of course, fantasy managers will monitor his condition throughout the week. But if he can't suit up, Christian Watson, Jayden Reed, and Romeo Doubs will likely split the leftover targets from Jordan Love.Source: Ryan Wood
1 month agoGreen Bay Packers wide receiver Jayden Reed led the Packers with six targets and put a touchdown on the board as the Packers handled the Arizona Cardinals 34-13 in Week 6. Reed scored the first points of the game with five-yard touchdown reception from quarterback Jordan Love. In the first half, Reed hurt his ankle, was deemed questionable to return but came back into the game. Reed caught all six of his targets for 28 yards plus a score and had a rushing attempt for no gain. While Reed didn't have an extraordinary day on the stat sheet, he saved his day with that first-quarter touchdown and should have a better day when the Packers host the Houston Texans in Week 7. Consider Reed a low-end WR1 for that matchup.Source: ESPN
1 month agoGreen Bay Packers wide receiver Christian Watson (ankle) was questionable on the injury report this week but played, led the Packers in receiving yards, and added a touchdown reception as the Packers defeated the Arizona Cardinals 34-13. Watson reeled in three receptions on four targets for a team-leading 68 yards, including a 44-yard touchdown pass in the second quarter where Watson dusted his defender and quarterback Jordan Love put the ball on him for an easy touchdown. Watson has a lot of competition for targets and the production falls to different players each week. Because of that, that puts Watson into low-end flex territory for fantasy managers as the Packers host the Houston Texans in Week 7.Source: ESPN
1 month agoGreen Bay Packers wide receiver Romeo Doubs found the end zone twice in the Packers' 34-13 victory over the Arizona Cardinals in Week 6. After a Week 5 where Doubs was suspended for one game for conduct detrimental to the team, Doubs put up a three-catch, 49-yard effort on four targets plus two touchdown catches from quarterback Jordan Love in Week 6. Doubs' first score came in the second quarter with a 10-yard snag on the sideline where he dove to get the ball across the goal line. The second touchdown came on a pressured blitz where Love threw a pass on his back foot and Doubs adjusted to make the catch and get across the goal line. With the Packers staying home and hosting the Houston Texans in Week 7, consider Doubs a flex option for fantasy lineups.Source: ESPN
1 month agoGreen Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love accounted for all four touchdowns as the Packers handily defeated the Arizona Cardinals 34-13 in Week 6. Love tossed four touchdowns and was 22-of-32 for 258 yards while adding 13 rushing yards on the ground. Love got the scoring started with a five-yard touchdown to Jayden Reed in the first quarter, and then got the returning Romeo Doubs involved with a 10-yard touchdown. With a 44-yard strike to Christian Watson and a second touchdown to Doubs in the third quarter, Love was on the money with his wide receivers all day and fantasy managers had to be smiling. With Love's quality outing, there's no doubt that he should be considered anything other than a must-start fantasy option as the Packers stay home to host the incoming Houston Texans in Week 7.Source: ESPN
1 month agoGreen Bay Packers running back Josh Jacobs was solidly involved in the Packers' 34-13 victory against the Arizona Cardinals in Week 6. Jacobs took 18-of-29 running back carries on the afternoon for 62 rushing yards. He also caught all three of his targets on day for 29 yards, to account for the most total yards of any skill-position player on the team. All four offensive scores came via the pass from Jordan Love, but the run was utilized heavily as the team had a total of 38 rushes to 32 pass attempts. Jacobs' workhorse role was slightly in question with Emanuel Wilson's emergence but after Love returned, Wilson has merely spelled Jacobs. The Packers stay home in Week 7 to match up with the Houston Texans, where Jacobs will be a low-end RB1 for fantasy purposes.Source: ESPN
1 month agoGreen Bay Packers wide receiver Dontayvion Wicks (shoulder) has officially been ruled out of the rest of the game against the Arizona Cardinals. Wicks saw three targets and registered one reception for nine yards before exiting the game. Romeo Doubs, Christian Watson, and Jayden Reed should all see more opportunities while they have a touchdown each so far in this one. The severity of Wicks' injury will likely be known when they can run some more tests on Monday.Source: Lily Zhao
1 month agoGreen Bay Packers wide receiver Dontayvion Wicks (shoulder) has exited Sunday's game with a shoulder issue and the team has tagged him as questionable to return. The 23-year-old was among the hottest waiver wire pickups over the last couple of weeks while the receiver corps had some injuries and suspensions. Christian Watson, Jayden Reed, and Romeo Doubs will be the top three receivers with Bo Melton seeing some extra action while Wicks is sidelined in this game.Source: Green Bay Packers
1 month agoGreen Bay Packers wide receiver Christian Watson (ankle) is officially active in Week 6 on Sunday against the visiting Arizona Cardinals at Lambeau Field. Watson suffered a left high-ankle sprain in Week 4 and missed the Week 5 win over the Los Angeles Rams, but he'll surprisingly end up missing just one game with an injury that was expected to sideline him multiple contests. It's good news for the Packers, but fantasy managers may want to be wary of relying on him in starting lineups, especially with Romeo Doubs also returning from a one-game suspension. Watson does have a touchdown this year, but he's also caught only five passes on eight targets for 80 yards in the four games he's played. The crowded nature of Green Bay's receiving corps makes all of their pass-catchers boom/bust WR4/flex plays outside of Jayden Reed.Source: Packers Wire - Zach Kruse
1 month agoGreen Bay Packers running back Emanuel Wilson has been quiet over the last few weeks. Wilson has been held to under 30 rushing yards in each of his last two games. The good news is that Wilson has seen six of more carries in each of the last three games. He continues to be the primary backup to Josh Jacobs and that figures to remain the same for the Week 6 matchup against the Arizona Cardinals. Wilson hasn't done much to warrant starting in most fantasy formats, but is someone worth stashing as he'll be the next man up if Jacobs ever goes down.Source: ESPN
1 month agoGreen Bay Packers tight end Luke Musgrave (ankle) was placed on Injured Reserve, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN. As a result, Musgrave will be sidelined for at least the next four games due to an ankle injury. The 24-year-old has had a slow start to the campaign, catching only five passes across the first four weeks with just 22 yards. Fantasy managers should expect 23-year-old Tucker Kraft to see the majority of opportunities at the position going forward. Kraft has enjoyed a nice breakout campaign and has caught 10 passes for 141 yards and three scores over the past two weeks. Kraft remains a TE1 going forward and has a favorable matchup this weekend against a weak Arizona secondary.Source: Adam Schefter
1 month agoGreen Bay Packers wide receiver Dontayvion Wicks looks to bounce back from a lackluster performance on the stat sheet in this week's matchup where the Packers host the Arizona Cardinals. Wicks only put up two receptions for 20 yards, but tied for the team-lead in targets share with 23% and led the Packers with 44% of the air yards. While those metrics didn't turn into fantasy points, yards, or receptions, the Packers' offensive intent was very well known as they peppered Wicks with targets and downfield looks. Changing the outlook for Wicks is Romeo Doubs' return to the lineup following a one-game suspension and the possibility of Christian Watson (ankle) playing in Week 6 as he's listed as questionable on the injury report. A Watson return would likely affect Wicks' snaps and route directly and would be a low-end flex for fantasy. If Watson is inactive, Wicks is a low-end WR3 and a high-end flex option for Week 6.Source: RotoBaller
1 month agoThe Green Bay Packers defense and special teams unit could have their hands full with the Arizona Cardinals as they come into Lambeau Field in Week 6. Green Bay's D/ST has been a top-10 option in three of the last four weeks and could make that four out of five with a good performance. The Packers have averaged over four sacks in their last three games, plus at least one interception in each game. While they're not a true defense that stops everything and shuts down opposing offenses, they allow some opportunities for offenses to make plays, but that's where they become the most opportunistic. While the Packers aren't a lock-button option as a fantasy defense, they're still a solid start this week against the Cardinals.Source: RotoBaller
1 month agoGreen Bay Packers kicker Brayden Narveson looks to continue building up some momentum as the Packers host the Arizona Cardinals in Week 6. After Narveson's brutal showing in Week 4 where he missed two field goals, the Packers stuck with him and Narveson made his only field goal attempt and booted home three extra point attempts in their win against the Los Angeles Rams in Week 5. Starting Narveson in fantasy lineups this week is a bet on the game environment being filled with points, which is definitely on the table with the scoring potential of both the Packers and Cardinals. Consider Narveson a fringe starting option this week in Week 6.Source: RotoBaller
1 month agoGreen Bay Packers wide receiver Jayden Reed should be targeted plenty in the Packers' upcoming matchup in Week 6 where they'll host the Arizona Cardinals. Reed has been a big play waiting to happen for Green Bay this season and has emerged as the Packers' unquestioned top target and playmaker in their offense. With a four-catch, 78-yard effort along with 19 rushing yards last week against the Los Angeles Rams, that stat line represented his worst game of the three games with Jordan Love starting at quarterback. With other receivers returning to the lineup like Romeo Doubs and potentially Christian Watson (ankle) who is listed as questionable in the injury report, Reed's targets may shift slightly, but Reed is still in a great position heading into Week 6. He's become a must-start wide receiver for fantasy managers and should be universally started.Source: RotoBaller
