3 hours agoChicago Bulls point guard Lonzo Ball (wrist) has been ruled out for Tuesday's matchup against the Toronto Raptors. He was initially listed as doubtful on the injury report. Ball was expected to return from a right wrist sprain last week, but he seems to have suffered a setback. He will be sidelined for his 16th consecutive game on Tuesday. Kevin Huerter (thumb) has delivered productive performances during Ball's absence and is poised for another strong outing against Toronto after the team upgraded his status from questionable to available.Source: NBA Injury Report
3 hours agoLos Angeles Dodgers first baseman Freddie Freeman (ankle) is out of the starting lineup again on Tuesday against the visiting Atlanta Braves at Dodger Stadium and likely won't play again until Friday, at the earliest, according to 570 LA Sports' David Vassegh. Freeman slipped and fell on his right ankle in the shower on Sunday morning, but thankfully X-rays showed that he didn't damage his surgically-repaired right ankle. Enrique Hernandez will get another start at first base on Tuesday and will hit sixth against Braves left-hander Chris Sale, who won the National League Cy Young award last season. Fantasy managers will be without the 35-year-old Freeman for another few days, but he should be back in L.A.'s lineup at some point this weekend for a showdown in Philadelphia against the Phillies. Through three games played, Freeman has gone 3-for-12 with two homers, a double and four RBI for the Blue.Source: 570 LA Sports - David Vassegh
3 hours agoChicago Bulls guard/forward Kevin Huerter (thumb) will be back in action on Tuesday against the Toronto Raptors. He missed Monday's loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder due to a thumb sprain. Following a disappointing first half of the season in Sacramento, Huerter has flourished with the Bulls, averaging 12.9 points, 3.5 rebounds, 3.1 assists, and 1.3 steals. He has improved his numbers to 15.1 points, 4.3 rebounds, and 4.3 assists since joining the starting lineup on March 13.Source: Cody Westerlund
3 hours agoSt. Louis Cardinals catcher/first baseman Willson Contreras is out of the lineup on Tuesday for the first time this year against the visiting Los Angeles Angels at Busch Stadium. Catcher Ivan Herrera will also start on the bench, with Pedro Pages doing the catching for left-hander Matthew Liberatore and batting seventh against Angels right-hander Kyle Hendricks. It's a good time for Contreras to get off his feet for the first time this year, as the 32-year-old Venezuelan backstop is hitless with eight strikeouts in 19 plate appearances over his first four games in 2024. Alec Burleson is starting at first for the Cards and is batting second on Tuesday. Burleson will be the more popular DFS play for this matchup against the soft-tossing Hendricks, as Burleson has hit .429 with a 1.071 OPS in a small sample size of seven career at-bats against Hendricks.Source: MLB.com
3 hours agoChicago Bulls guard/forward Josh Giddey (hip) will play on Tuesday against the Toronto Raptors. Giddey recently sustained a hip injury but has remained in the lineup and is good to go Tuesday night as Chicago completes a back-to-back. On Monday, Giddey returned to Oklahoma City and fell just a couple of rebounds short of a triple-double. He was fantastic throughout March, averaging 20.3 points, 9.6 rebounds, 9.0 assists, and 1.5 steals. Toronto's mediocre defense likely won't be good enough to slow Giddey down.Source: Cody Westerlund
3 hours agoPortland Trail Blazers guard Dalano Banton will start in Tuesday's game against the Hawks. Anfernee Simons (forearm) and Scoot Henderson (concussion) won't suit up, so Banton will roll with the first five on Tuesday night. The 25-year-old went scoreless in Sunday's loss to the Knicks. However, with Jerami Grant (knee) also ruled out, Banton is worth considering for most fantasy lineups.Source: Casey Holdahl
3 hours agoPhoenix Suns forward Royce O'Neale (illness) has been ruled out for Tuesday's clash against the Milwaukee Bucks. He was a late addition to the injury report due to an illness, initially listed as questionable before the team officially ruled him out for the game. The Suns will also be without Kevin Durant (ankle) and Bradley Beal (hamstring) on Tuesday, placing extra responsibility on players like Collin Gillespie, Tyus Jones, Grayson Allen, and Cody Martin to step up their performance.Source: Duane Rankin
3 hours agoPortland Trail Blazers forward Jerami Grant (knee) won't play on Tuesday versus the Hawks. Grant has already missed 10 games because of knee soreness. However, there's a chance he won't play again this season, especially if the Blazers don't make the Play-In. At any rate, with Anfernee Simons (forearm) and Scoot Henderson (concussion) ruled out, Shaedon Sharpe, Toumani Camara, and Deni Avdija should lead the way on the scoring end. Dalano Banton will also enter the starting lineup, increasing his fantasy ceiling.Source: Portland Trail Blazers
4 hours agoPhoenix Suns guard Bradley Beal (hamstring) is not ready to return to the lineup on Tuesday against the Milwaukee Bucks. Initially, there was a chance Beal would return when the team listed him as questionable on the injury report, but he has now officially been ruled out. This will be Beal's eighth consecutive absence. Collin Gillespie will continue to have an expanded role due to Beal's absence. He has started seven consecutive games, averaging 8.0 points, 3.4 rebounds, and 4.3 assists in 21.9 minutes over that span.Source: Duane Rankin
4 hours agoAccording to Shams Charania of ESPN, Detroit Pistons small forward Ron Holland II (suspension) will serve a one-game suspension due to his involvement in an on-court altercation that included several players during Sunday's game against the Minnesota Timberwolves. Holland will have to miss Wednesday's contest against the Thunder, but he will be available to make his return for Friday's matchup with the Raptors. Marcus Sasser was also suspended for one game, while Isaiah Stewart got a two-game ban.Source: Shams Charania
4 hours agoPortland Trail Blazers guard Anfernee Simons (forearm) won't play on Tuesday against Atlanta. He has been dealing with a forearm injury of late, although he was able to play in Sunday's loss to the Knicks, finishing with 15 points, four assists, and two steals. However, with Simons and Scoot Henderson (concussion) ruled out, Dalano Banton will get the start, giving him plenty of upside for fantasy managers. Shaedon Sharpe, Toumani Camara, and Deni Avdija are also in line for more scoring opportunities, especially with Jerami Grant (knee) also unable to suit up.Source: Casey Holdahl
4 hours agoAtlanta Hawks point guard Trae Young (Achilles) will be in the lineup on Tuesday against the Portland Trail Blazers. The team has upgraded Young to available after initially listing him as probable for the contest. Young ranks sixth in the league with 45 double-doubles, averaging 24.1 points and 11.5 assists for the season. He narrowly missed out on a double-double in this season's first meeting with the Trail Blazers, posting 29 points and eight assists in a 114-110 loss on Nov. 17.Source: Atlanta Hawks
4 hours agoOn Tuesday, the NBA suspended Detroit Pistons guard Marcus Sasser (suspension) for one game, Shams Charania of ESPN reports. Sasser was thrown out in the second quarter of Sunday's contest against Minnesota after a scuffle with several players. He will be unavailable for Wednesday's matchup with the Thunder. The 24-year-old is eligible to make his return Friday versus the Raptors. Teammate Ron Holland was suspended for one game, while Isaiah Stewart was tagged with a two-game ban.Source: Shams Charania
4 hours agoMilwaukee Bucks forward Giannis Antetokounmpo (foot) will play against the Suns on Tuesday night. It's not uncommon to see the two-time MVP listed on the injury report. But as has been the case for most of the 2024-25 campaign, he was listed as probable, so fantasy managers expected to have him in the lineup. Antetokounmpo had 31 points, 10 rebounds, and five rebounds in his only matchup against Phoenix this season. However, he won't have to deal with Kevin Durant (ankle) and possibly Royce O'Neale (illness) this time around.Source: Eric Nehm
4 hours agoSt. Louis Blues right wing Jimmy Snuggerud will make his NHL debut in Tuesday's matchup against the Detroit Red Wings. The 20-year-old forward, a first-round pick in the 2022 NHL draft, signed a three-year entry-level contract with the Blues last Friday. He has just completed a prolific collegiate career with the University of Minnesota, producing 135 points (66 goals, 69 assists) in 119 NCAA appearances. Snuggerud, who bagged 51 points (24 goals, 27 assists) in 40 games this season, is among 10 candidates for the Hobey Baker Memorial Award, presented annually to the top NCAA men's hockey player. The Blues are set to use Snuggerud in a third-line role on Tuesday, pairing him with Oskar Sundqvist and Zack Bolduc. He will also slot into the second power-play unit, giving him extra fantasy value.Source: NHL.com
4 hours agoMinnesota Twins second baseman Edouard Julien (illness) is making his first start of the 2025 season on Tuesday on the road in Chicago against the division-rival White Sox at Rate Field. Julien will serve as the designated hitter and bat eighth against right-hander Shane Smith, who will be making his major-league debut. Although this will be Julien's first start of the year due to an illness he's been dealing with, the 25-year-old had three at-bats off the bench on Monday and has gone hitless with two strikeouts. Most of the Canadian's playing time should come at second base again for the Twins this year, but at best, he'll be in more of a platoon situation, limiting his fantasy appeal to deeper formats. In his second year with the Twins in 2024, Julien slashed just .199/.292/.323 with eight home runs, 21 RBI and six steals in 94 games played.Source: MLB.com
4 hours agoAccording to Shams Charania of ESPN, the NBA suspended Detroit Pistons forward/center Isaiah Stewart (suspension) for two games on Tuesday. The 23-year-old was ejected from Sunday's game against Minnesota due to an on-court altercation that involved several players. Stewart has to sit Wednesday against the Thunder and Friday versus the Raptors. Teammates Marcus Sasser and Ron Holland were also involved in the scuffle and will serve a one-game suspension. While these players are out of action, Paul Reed, Lindy Waters, and Simone Fontecchio will likely see an uptick in minutes but will not make much of an impact, fantasy-wise.Source: Shams Charania
4 hours agoAnaheim Ducks defenseman Jacob Trouba (lower body) is on track to return to the lineup on Tuesday against the San Jose Sharks. A minor lower-body injury prevented him from playing in Sunday's matchup against the Toronto Maple Leafs. Instead, Oliver Kylington ate up nearly 13 minutes of action in defense against Toronto but is set to return to the press box for Tuesday night. Trouba has continued to rack up blocks and hits for fun in Anaheim but lacks offensive upside. Since joining the team, Trouba has tallied eight points (one goal, seven assists), 56 shots, 124 blocks, and 117 hits in 47 appearances.Source: NHL.com
4 hours agoGolden State Warriors forward Jonathan Kuminga (pelvis) won't play on Tuesday versus Memphis. He logged only six minutes in Sunday's win over the San Antonio Spurs before taking a hard fall, suffering a pelvic contusion. As such, it appears there's a chance the 22-year-old could miss more time moving forward. In the meantime, Buddy Hield, coming off a 19-point effort, is the favorite to benefit the most off the bench. Gui Santos and Quinten Post could also see extra work.Source: Brett Siegel
4 hours agoAnaheim Ducks forward Troy Terry (undisclosed) is expected to be in the lineup for Tuesday's contest against the San Jose Sharks. He was unable to finish Sunday's game against the Toronto Maple Leafs after colliding with linemate Frank Vatrano in the third period. Terry, who leads the Ducks with 51 points (19 goals, 32 assists) in 68 games, will hope to break a scoring slump on Tuesday, as he has gone four consecutive games without registering any points. He has still been getting chances in front of the net, however, taking 17 shots on goal during his dry spell.Source: NHL.com
4 hours agoWashington Nationals outfielder Dylan Crews will head to the bench for Tuesday's contest against the Toronto Blue Jays at Rogers Centre. Alex Call is starting in right field in his place and will hit eighth against Blue Jays right-hander Jose Berrios. The Nationals are giving Crews an early mental break after the former second overall pick in 2023 out of LSU has started his first full year in the big leagues by going 0-for-15 at the plate with a steal, run scored, one walk and 10 strikeouts in his first four games. While it's still early, fantasy managers hoping Crews would contribute nicely across most categories this year have to be at least a little bit concerned. Call will be making his season debut on Tuesday after hitting .343 (34-for-99) with three homers, 14 RBI and five steals in just 30 games for Washington a season ago. Call has never faced Berrios in his career.Source: MLB.com
4 hours agoBoston Celtics forward Jaylen Brown (knee) is questionable for Wednesday's matchup with the Heat. He has been dealing with a right knee injury of late, most recently keeping him off the floor for Monday's win over the Memphis Grizzlies. Xavier Tillman Sr. got the start. However, he had only two points, three rebounds, and one steal in seven minutes of work. With that said, not only is Brown questionable for Wednesday's contest, but Al Horford (toe), Kristaps Porzingis (return from illness reconditioning), and Jrue Holiday (shoulder) are also in danger of not playing. As a result, Tillman, Luke Kornet, Sam Hauser and Payton Pritchard could see a bump in production behind Jayson Tatum and Derrick White.Source: Boston Celtics
4 hours agoNashville Predators right wing Jonathan Marchessault (lower body) will miss a second consecutive game on Tuesday against the Columbus Blue Jackets. On Monday, he was taken out of the lineup against the Philadelphia Flyers due to a lower-body injury. It only appears to be a minor issue, as Marchessault is considered day-to-day. His next opportunity for a comeback will be on Thursday against the Dallas Stars. With Marchessault unavailable, Jakub Vrana entered the lineup on Monday but was anonymous throughout the night, finishing a 2-1 loss with zero shots on goal, one hit, and a minus-one rating in 10:41 of ice time.Source: Mark Scheig
4 hours agoArizona Diamondbacks outfielder Lourdes Gurriel Jr. is getting the day off in the Bronx on Tuesday against the hosting New York Yankees. Jake McCarthy is starting in left field and is batting seventh, while Alek Thomas will start in center and hit eighth against Yankees right-hander Will Warren, who will be making just the sixth start of his young career. Gurriel will get his first breather early in the season after going 4-for-19 with a home runs, double, three RBI, three runs scored and a strikeout in his first four games. McCarthy, a former first-rounder, is still searching for his first hit of 2025 after going 0-for-8 with two RBI and two strikeouts in his first three games. Thomas has played in only two games so far this year but has looked good at the plate, going 5-for-7 with two doubles, three RBI and three runs scored in nine plate appearances.Source: MLB.com
4 hours agoLos Angeles Kings right wing Alex Laferriere (illness) is expected to return from a one-game absence on Tuesday against the Winnipeg Jets. Due to an illness, he was unavailable for Sunday's contest against the San Jose Sharks. However, Laferriere participated in Tuesday's morning skate, which is an encouraging sign regarding his potential return. The young winger has made significant progress in 2024-25, recording 35 points (16 goals, 19 assists) across 68 appearances in his sophomore campaign. Defenseman Jacob Moverare is expected to make way for Laferriere in the lineup, as the Kings are poised to return to a traditional 12-6 setup.Source: NHL.com
4 hours agoNew York Yankees first baseman Paul Goldschmidt is batting leadoff again on Tuesday at Yankee Stadium against the visiting Arizona Diamondbacks and right-hander Corbin Burnes. It will be Goldschmidt's third time leading off in the early going in five games played. In his first game at leadoff on Saturday against the Milwaukee Brewers, the 37-year-old right-handed slugger hit the first pitch he saw out of the park and set the stage for the Yankees to set a new MLB record by homering three straight times on only three pitches to begin a game. He will now hit leadoff for the third straight game against a right-hander, and the Yanks don't really have any reason to change their lineup up after scoring 32 runs in the games that Goldy has hit leadoff. He's gone 5-for-12 with a homer, double and two RBI in three games and has hit .323 with an .834 OPS, a homer and two RBI in 31 career at-bats against Burnes.Source: MLB.com
4 hours agoMinnesota Timberwolves guard/forward Donte DiVincenzo (suspension) will be unavailable for Tuesday's matchup with the Denver Nuggets. According to Sham Charania of ESPN, DiVincenzo was suspended by the NBA for one game for his involvement in an on-court altercation with the Pistons on Sunday. Naz Reid (suspension) will also have to sit out one game for his participation in the scuffle. With DiVincenzo out of action, Minnesota will likely turn to Rob Dillingham and Nickeil Alexander-Walker to take extra minutes. Alexander-Walker, in particular, could be a solid fantasy streaming option this evening. He recently finished with 11 points, two rebounds, four assists and one block across 27 minutes on Sunday versus the Pistons.Source: Shams Charania

5 hours agoNew York Knicks guard Miles McBride (groin) won't play on Tuesday versus Philadelphia. The 24-year-old had been filling in at the one for Jalen Brunson (ankle). Unfortunately, he's been battling a groin strain, keeping him off the floor for the Knicks' previous five contests. Cameron Payne (ankle) is also out, meaning Delon Wright, who had seven points, four boards, two steals, and two blocks in Sunday's win over Portland, is expected to remain in the starting lineup. Landry Shamet had 11 points in that one and figures to also remain involved. But with Karl-Anthony Towns (knee) uncertain to suit up, both Shamet and Wright could be even more productive for fantasy managers.Source: NBA Injur
5 hours agoWinnipeg Jets defenseman Luke Schenn (undisclosed) is considered a game-time decision for Tuesday's matchup against the Los Angeles Kings. Two top dogs of the Western Conference are set to meet in L.A., but Schenn might have to sit out the action after leaving Tuesday's morning skate early for an undisclosed reason. If he is unavailable, Ville Heinola and Haydn Fleury are the options to replace Schenn in the lineup. Schenn ranks third in the league with 277 hits in 70 games. Offensively, he has notched one goal and five assists.Source: NHL.com
