2 weeks agoUtah Jazz center Walker Kessler (rest) will skip Wednesday's game against the Washington Wizards. The team has decided to give him another rest day. Kessler's absence is a signal to fantasy managers to fire up Kyle Filipowski again. He has regularly started when Kessler has been out of the lineup. On the last such occasion, Filipowski produced a full line against the Toronto Raptors, notching 18 points, 11 rebounds, three assists, two steals, and one block. As a starter, Filipowski has averaged 13.0 points, 7.8 rebounds, and 2.7 assists during his rookie campaign.Source: NBA Injury Report
2 weeks agoSacramento Kings center Domantas Sabonis (ankle) has been ruled out for at least 10 days. He sprained his right ankle during Monday's win over the Memphis Grizzlies. The team has announced that an MRI on the ankle showed a moderate sprain and that Sabonis will be re-evaluated in 10 days. This is an unfortunate setback for the Lithuanian big man, who had only just returned to the lineup from a hamstring injury. Jonas Valanciunas now looks set for another spell as Sacramento's starting center. He averaged 12.0 points and 12.2 rebounds during Sabonis' previous absence.Source: ESPN
2 weeks agoMemphis Grizzlies point guard Ja Morant (hamstring) will be out for a third straight game on Wednesday against the Portland Trail Blazers. He is experiencing soreness in his left calf, and there's no reason to risk his health since Memphis is comfortably sitting in a playoff spot. With Scotty Pippen Jr. (wrist) also unavailable, Desmond Bane and Luke Kennard made up the starting backcourt in Monday's matchup against the Sacramento Kings. Bane went berserk with 7-for-7 shooting from downtown and netted a season-high 44 points. Pippen Jr. is considered questionable for Wednesday, so the same scenario could repeat itself against Portland.Source: NBA Injury Report
2 weeks agoLos Angeles Lakers forward LeBron James (groin) will miss a sixth straight game on Wednesday against the Denver Nuggets. He continues to work his way back from a left groin strain suffered against the Boston Celtics on March 8. James is also expected to miss the second leg of a back-to-back on Thursday against the Milwaukee Bucks. During James' absence, Jordan Goodwin has joined the starting lineup, while Austin Reaves has significantly increased his offensive output. Over the last five games, Reaves has averaged 28.0 points, 7.0 rebounds, and 7.6 assists.Source: NBA Injury Report
2 weeks agoLos Angeles Lakers point guard Luka Doncic (ankle) is expected to play through a right ankle sprain on Wednesday against the Denver Nuggets, as the team lists him as probable for the contest. He also played through the injury on Monday versus the San Antonio Spurs. While Doncic's shooting efficiency was awful, with him hitting 5-for-20 from the field, he still nearly collected a triple-double with 20 points, nine rebounds, and 14 assists. As LeBron James (groin) continues to sit, Doncic will remain the Lakers' main man on Wednesday in a fascinating matchup.Source: NBA Injury Report
2 weeks agoDenver Nuggets point guard Jamal Murray (ankle) is listed as questionable for Wednesday's matchup against the Los Angeles Lakers. After making 16 consecutive appearances, Murray came out of the lineup on Monday against the Golden State Warriors due to an ankle sprain. With Murray out and Nikola Jokic (elbow, ankle) joining him on the sidelines, Russell Westbrook ran the offense on Monday, finishing with a triple-double that included a season-high 16 assists. At the same time, Aaron Gordon took on a lot more offensive duties, leading all scorers with a season-high 38 points.Source: NBA Injury Report
2 weeks agoDenver Nuggets center Nikola Jokic (elbow, ankle) may miss a second consecutive game on Wednesday against the Los Angeles Lakers, as he has been listed as questionable for the matchup. Jokic exited the lineup for only the sixth time this season when the Nuggets faced the Golden State Warriors on Monday night. Head coach Michael Malone went with a smaller lineup, bringing Hunter Tyson and Peyton Watson into the starting unit. With Jamal Murray (ankle) also out, Aaron Gordon (calf, ankle) and Russell Westbrook ran the show. If the circumstances are the same, both players should excel against the Lakers again. Gordon is dealing with a couple of health issues as well but is expected to play.Source: NBA Injury Report
2 weeks agoOklahoma City Thunder guard/forward Jalen Williams (hip) will remain sidelined on Wednesday against the Philadelphia 76ers. He is trying to recover from a right hip strain but will need more time to do so. This will be Williams' fourth consecutive absence. The Thunder have a long list of absentees, including Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (rest), which opens up playing time for Isaiah Joe, Aaron Wiggins, and Kenrich Williams. Meanwhile, Chet Holmgren could end up being the only available regular starter, and his offense usage should get a boost.Source: NBA Injury Report
2 weeks agoOklahoma City Thunder guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (rest) will not be in action on Wednesday against the Philadelphia 76ers. The team plans to rest him for the matchup, with Gilgeous-Alexander sitting out a game for only the third time this season. Luguentz Dort (hip) and Jalen Williams (hip) also won't play, leaving OKC without three starters for the contest. In this situation, Isaiah Joe and Aaron Wiggins are likely to be asked to shoulder a heavier workload. There may be even more playing time available for the Thunder bench, depending on the statuses of Cason Wallace (shoulder) and Isaiah Hartenstein (back), who are both listed as questionable on the injury report.Source: NBA Injury Report
2 weeks agoCleveland Cavaliers forward Evan Mobley (foot) will play on Tuesday versus the Clippers, barring a pregame setback. He wasn't available for Sunday's loss to the Orlando Magic because of a foot injury. As a result, De'Andre Hunter entered the starting lineup, finishing with nine points and five boards. While Hunter will still see minutes from off the bench, he may have a tough time getting it done for fantasy managers with Mobley, Donovan Mitchell, Darius Garland, and Jarrett Allen on the floor.Source: Chris Fedor
2 weeks agoLos Angeles Clippers guard Kris Dunn (knee) is back in the mix ahead of Tuesday's game against the Cleveland Cavaliers. Dunn will shift back into the starting five after missing Sunday's contest due to a knee issue. His return to the starting unit will move Derrick Jones Jr. back to the bench where he'll offer less streaming appeal. Dunn has been playing fairly significant minutes lately, but still isn't offering a ton of fantasy value. He could be worth a look in deep leagues, but Dunn doesn't have much value outside of that.Source: Tomer Azarly
2 weeks agoIndiana Pacers forward Pascal Siakam (personal) is questionable for Wednesday's meeting with the Dallas Mavericks. The former Raptor had been on a roll, scoring at least 25 points in each of the Pacers' previous three contests heading into Monday's overtime victory over the Timberwolves. Unfortunately, he wasn't able to play because of a personal issue. Tyrese Haliburton (back), Aaron Nesmith (ankle), and Myles Turner (hip) were also sidelined for that one, resulting in Obi Toppin and Bennedict Mathurin combining for 56 points. Toppin will likely start again if Siakam can't suit up. However, Turner and Nesmith are off the injury report, so Toppin probably won't be as productive, even if Haliburton remains on the shelf.Source: NBA Injury Report
2 weeks agoGolden State Warriors guard Brandin Podziemski (back) is available to play ahead of Tuesday's game against the Milwaukee Bucks. Podiemski is back in the mix after missing each of the last five games due to a lingering back issue. His return will come at a good time with Stephen Curry (rest) heading to the bench on Tuesday night. Podziemski has been playing better in the second half this season with 13.2 points, 6.2 rebounds, and 3.9 assists per game over his last 19 contests. Fantasy managers should consider Podziemski a fairly decent streaming option with Curry sidelined on Tuesday.Source: Dalton Johnson
2 weeks agoIndiana Pacers center Myles Turner (hip) is off the injury report ahead of Wednesday's game against the Mavericks. He missed Monday's overtime win over the Timberwolves because of a hip contusion. As a result, Thomas Bryant took over in the middle, finishing with 10 points, seven rebounds, two blocks, and one steal. But with Turner back on the floor, Bryant won't be relevant for fantasy managers. On the other hand, Turner could be in line for an uptick in scoring tries, considering Tyrese Haliburton (back) and Pascal Siakam (personal) may not suit up. In addition, the Mavs are still without Anthony Davis (adductor), Dereck Lively II (ankle), and Daniel Gafford (knee). Kai Jones (quadriceps) is questionable, meaning Dallas may remain undersized underneath the basket.Source: NBA Injury Report
2 weeks agoMilwaukee Bucks guard Damian Lillard (groin) is available to play ahead of Tuesday's game against the Golden State Warriors. As expected, Lillard will shake off the probable tag and play through his groin soreness. Lillard has played in 12 straight games, so it's going to take more than a minor injury to hold him out of action. The 34-year-old has been one of the best guards in terms of fantasy value this season. He's averaging 25.1 points, 4.7 rebounds, and 7.1 assists across 36 minutes this season. Fantasy managers can make sure to get him active in their lineups.Source: Eric Nehm
