Baltimore Ravens running back Keaton Mitchell (knee) suffered a significant ACL tear at the end of his 2023 rookie campaign and was limited to just five games in 2024, logging touches in two contests. In his firstread more...

New England Patriots linebacker Jahlani Tavai (calf) will not participate in practice until training camp after suffering a calf injury during Monday's OTA's. The 2019 second-round pick out of Hawai'i by the Detroit Lions led the Patriots in tackles last season (115) and has not missed a game over the last three years. Overall, the 28-year-old has tallied 424 tackles (235 solo), 5.5 sacks, five forced fumbles, two fumble recoveries, and four interceptions in 95 career games. His injury early in the offseason isn't ideal, but it sounds like he'll have plenty of time to recover before meaningful football is played.--Jackson Sparks - RotoBallerSource: Adam Schefter

New York Jets first-time offensive coordinator Tanner Engstrand, who is the Jets' 10th offensive coordinator and 11th play-caller in the last 15 seasons, will have added pressure in New York with head coach Aaron Glenn being defensive-minded. ESPN's Rich Cimini writes that the offense will have a Lions flavor to it, from scheme to coaching, after Engstrand previously worked under offensive coordinator Ben Johnson in Detroit. Engstrand will lean heavily on former Lions tight ends coach Steve Heiden, who will coach the offensive line and be heavily involved in the ground game. The Jets are expected to be physical on the ground, with run-pass options being a staple with mobile quarterback Justin Fields. New York will most likely be run-heavy while setting Fields up for success with more intermediate throws. Behind what could be a strong O-line, it's possible Fields excels with his third NFL team in 2025.--Keith HernandezSource: ESPN New York - Rich Cimini

Houston Texans quarterback C.J. Stroud is not throwing at organized team activities on Tuesday due to what head coach DeMeco Ryans called "general soreness." "There are no concerns with CJ. Just general soreness. Taking extra precautions," Ryans said. The head coach declined to answer if Stroud had any work done on his right shoulder in the offseason. It was reported last week that the 23-year-old signal-caller didn't take part in an OTA practice due to a tight pectoral muscle, but it wasn't considered a long-term problem. As long as Stroud gets back on the field soon, there won't be any cause for concern, and the Texans don't appear to be worried whatsoever. Stroud took a step back in 2024 after being a top-10 fantasy QB in his rookie campaign, and his offensive line certainly didn't help his cause. Whether he can bounce back as a QB1 in fantasy will depend on how effective his O-line is at protecting him.--Keith HernandezSource: FOX 26 Houston - Will Kunkel

Washington Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels immediately established himself as one of the NFL's top QBs in his first season in the league in 2024, but the Commanders expect him to be even better in his sophomore season. "Just watching him move around, he's not thinking as much, he's playing fast and letting his natural gifts kind of take over, and that's what we want to see. I expect him to take a big jump," offensive coordinator Kliff Kingsbury said. The second overall pick was named the Offensive Rookie of the Year after throwing for 3,568 yards and 25 touchdowns and rushing for another 891 yards and six touchdowns while leading the team to a 12-5 record and an appearance in the NFC Championship game. Washington bolstered their offensive line in front of Daniels this offseason and added receiver Deebo Samuel Jr. Daniels will be a top-five fantasy QB in upcoming drafts.--Keith HernandezSource: ESPN.com - John Keim

The Tennessee Titans have been pleased with rookie first-round quarterback Cam Ward's progress this offseason as he learns the offense. "Pleased with where he's at," head coach Brian Callahan said. The head coach also said that Ward is picking things up pretty quickly as far as the mental part of the transition to the NFL. Although the 23-year-old first overall pick has been splitting reps evenly with Will Levis during offseason workouts, Ward is fully expected to win the starting QB job going into the 2025 regular season this fall. The Miami product has high-end arm strength and set an NCAA record with 158 career touchdown passes. There's plenty to like about Ward long term, but he's not much of a scrambler, and the Titans don't have a ton of weapons for him to be much more than a low-end QB2 with upside in fantasy in his rookie season.--Keith HernandezSource: TennesseeTitans.com - Jim Wyatt

SI.com's Albert Breer thinks that Miami Dolphins cornerback Jalen Ramsey's value now is at safety. Ramsey can still be a very good cornerback, but any team looking to trade for the veteran defensive back is likely looking to move him to safety in the long term. "I think that's a safe landing spot to put him in position to still do things that he does well," said an NFC executive. "So that's like a $10 million to $12 million player." The former All-Pro has $21.1 million left on his deal for 2025, which means the Dolphins might have to eat some money to facilitate a trade this offseason. And now that June 1 has passed, it will be easier from a salary cap perspective for the Dolphins to trade Ramsey. If feels inevitable at this point that Ramsey will be in a different uniform for the 2025 season, with a return to the Los Angeles Rams being in play.--Keith HernandezSource: SI.com - Albert Breer

The Atlanta Falcons are completely focused on developing former first-round quarterback Michael Penix Jr., according to SI.com's Albert Breer. Last year, the Falcons were locked into having veteran Kirk Cousins under center, but now they are putting their offense together in a way that will best fit Penix. The 25-year-old second-year signal-caller has proven to be an even faster learner than was expected when he was drafted. He has been working to get his footwork synced up, his base widened and his eyes upfield, while coaches also want Penix working to create ways to take advantage of his high-end arm talent. Atlanta added slow-developing, play-action concepts to take advantage of Penix's ability to create explosive plays down the field, and they've also expanded their perimeter passing game. The coaches and players are behind Penix, who will be an attractive QB2 with upside in superflex leagues in 2025.--Keith HernandezSource: SI.com - Albert Breer

The New England Patriots have no plans to release wide receiver Stefon Diggs (knee), according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. Diggs showed up for voluntary organized team activities this week in light of recent negative off-the-field publicity, and the Patriots have high hopes for him this year despite the fact he tore his ACL in Week 8 last year with the Houston Texans. After signing a three-year, $69 million deal in free agency, New England envisions the 31-year-old veteran being the WR1 for second-year quarterback Drake Maye when he's fully healthy. Diggs has been practicing without a brace this offseason and appears to be on track in his recovery from a torn ACL. On the wrong side and coming off major knee surgery, Diggs probably won't be all that explosive deep down the field with the Pats, but he could still be valuable as an every-week fantasy starter on volume as Maye's go-to aerial target.--Keith HernandezSource: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport

The Philadelphia Eagles have signed undrafted free agent offensive lineman Marcus Tate to a three-year, $2.96 million contract. Tate appeared in 42 games (37 starts) at Clemson and spent time at left guard and both left and right tackle. In 2021, he became the third true freshman offensive lineman in Clemson history to start the season's first game and was a second-team All-ACC selection in 2024. He's one of just 28 Tigers in history to play over 2,500 career snaps. Tate is currently slotted in at guard on the team's unofficial depth chart behind teammates Tyler Steen and Matt Pryor. Injuries held the Florida native back during his college career, but a four-year starter with good size is another brilliant addition for a savvy Eagles squad.--Alex CiullaSource: Chris McPherson

Per Dan Salomone of Giants.com, the New York Giants have signed rookie third-round pick defensive lineman Darius Alexander to a four-year contract. The financial details were not disclosed. Alexander is the sixth of seven rookies to sign their deal with New York. The 24-year-old didn't produce much during his time at Toledo, but he's uber-athletic for his frame and could be a nice rotational piece for the Giants' defensive line. Despite being drafted as a defensive tackle, he's currently listed second on the depth chart (unofficially) behind Roy Robertson-Harris at defensive end. New York sports one of the more loaded edge-rush units in the league, and a deep room of fresh legs can only boost their chances to be a dominant group. They posted the ninth-most sacks in the league as a team in 2024 (45).--Alex CiullaSource: Dan Salomone

Washington Commanders offensive coordinator Kliff Kingsbury noted via the team's transcript last week that running back Brian Robinson Jr.'s focus this offseason has been "great." "Yeah, he's been really focused," said Kingsbury. "B-Rob's a guy who has played an incredibly high level....He knows what this year means to him and can mean to us when he plays at that level." The Commanders invested in their offense heavily this offseason -- fortifying their offensive front and the weapons around budding superstar Jayden Daniels. However, the running back room went essentially unchanged aside from the addition of seventh-round teammate Jacory Croskey-Merritt. Backfield mate Austin Ekeler will siphon away some touches, but the Alabama product should receive strong volume this season. It will be interesting to see how the team deploys Deebo Samuel Sr., but if he doesn't absorb too many carries, Robinson Jr. should provide decent value.--Alex CiullaSource: Kevin Patra
