2 weeks agoDallas Mavericks center Kai Jones (quadriceps) will play on Wednesday against Indiana. He missed the last seven games. But Jones will return at the perfect time, considering Klay Thompson (illness), Brandon Williams (hamstring), and Caleb Martin (hip) are sidelined. While it's unknown if the 24-year-old will get the start, he should see enough minutes to find his way into some fantasy lineups versus a Pacers club that has allowed 115.5 points per contest throughout the 2024-25 campaign.Source: NBA Injury Report
2 weeks agoIndiana Pacers guard Tyrese Haliburton (back) is unavailable for Wednesday's game against Dallas. Due to back soreness, the 25-year-old will miss his second consecutive contest. Haliburton has been dealing with some injury issues lately. He missed three games due to a hip injury before returning for the March 11 matchup with Milwaukee. He played the following two games but was sidelined for Monday's overtime win over Minnesota because of back soreness. Andrew Nembhard should continue to be the starting point guard, while T.J. McConnell will likely see an uptick in minutes coming off the bench during tonight's matchup.Source: Tony East
2 weeks agoDallas Mavericks point guard Brandon Williams (hamstring) has been ruled out for Wednesday's game against the Indiana Pacers. He is dealing with tightness in his left hamstring and will miss the action after initially being listed as questionable for the matchup. Williams has joined a long list of absentees, though the return of Jaden Hardy will slightly improve the Mavericks' situation. Meanwhile, Spencer Dinwiddie and Max Christie could have a very busy night in the backcourt against Indiana.Source: NBA Injury Report
2 weeks agoIndiana Pacers forward Pascal Siakam (personal) will play on Wednesday versus Dallas. The former Raptor amassed at least 25 points in each of the previous three games heading into Monday's overtime win over the Minnesota Timberwolves. However, he didn't suit up for that one, opening the door for Obi Toppin to enter the starting lineup and finish with a team-high 34 points and 10 rebounds. With Tyrese Haliburton (back) still out, Siakam should see a bump in production. But as far as Toppin is concerned, he'll likely head back to the bench, eliminating most of his fantasy potential on Wednesday night.Source: NBA Injury Report
2 weeks agoDallas Mavericks guard Jaden Hardy (ankle) will play on Wednesday versus Indiana after missing the last seven games because of a sprained right ankle. The Mavs have been without Anthony Davis (adductor) and Kyrie Irving (knee). But, to make matters worse, Klay Thompson (illness) and Brandon Williams (hamstring) are also sidelined. While Max Christie, Naji Marshall, and P.J. Washington should see most of the scoring opportunities on Wednesday, Hardy, averaging 8.0 points this season, could easily be more productive.Source: Mike Curtis
2 weeks agoMason Williams of SI.com reports that Orlando Magic guard Cole Anthony (toe) won't play Wednesday against the Houston Rockets. Anthony has been absent in two of the last three Magic games due to a left toe strain. In his last outing on Sunday against Cleveland, the 24-year-old returned to action after missing two straight games. However, he aggravated the injured toe after only six minutes on the floor. Cory Joseph will likely be a starter, while Anthony Black will continue to see an expanded role with Anthony out for this evening's contest.Source: Mason Williams
2 weeks agoWashington Wizards guard/forward Kyshawn George (knee) won't play on Wednesday against the Utah Jazz. George will be sidelined due to a bruised right knee. The 21-year-old rookie has played in 61 games, averaging 8.7 points, 4.2 rebounds, 2.4 assists, and 1.0 steals across 27.2 minutes per contest. He hasn't been a consistent fantasy contributor in his first NBA season. Anthony Gill and Justin Champagnie should see expanded roles this evening with George out of action.Source: NBA Injury Report
2 weeks agoCleveland Cavaliers point guard Darius Garland (rest) is unavailable for Wednesday's contest with the Sacramento Kings. On Tuesday, Garland posted 17 points, eight assists, five rebounds, and two steals in 32 minutes against the Clippers. The 32-year-old will have the night off to rest for the second set of back-to-back games. He will likely return to the floor for Friday's matchup with the Suns. Isaac Okoro and Ty Jerome could see extra minutes this evening with Garland on the shelf.Source: NBA Injury Report
2 weeks agoMiami Heat forward Andrew Wiggins (lower leg) is listed as questionable for Wednesday's matchup against the Detroit Pistons. He has been left nursing a lower left leg contusion and may sit out a second consecutive game. Jaime Jaquez Jr. has a chance to remain in the starting lineup if Wiggins doesn't return on Wednesday. He has averaged 12.4 points, 6.1 rebounds, 3.6 assists, and 1.9 steals in a starting role this season. Haywood Highsmith also plays a more important role with Wiggins out, but he rarely contributes significantly in fantasy terms.Source: NBA Injury Report
2 weeks agoWashington Wizards forward Khris Middleton (ankle) will not suit up for Wednesday's action against the Utah Jazz. He will be kept off the court for ankle injury management purposes. With him sidelined, Justin Champagnie is poised to re-enter the starting unit. Champagnie's performances can vary, but he has recorded decent numbers in a starting role. As a member of the first unit, Champagnie has averaged 11.8 points, 7.9 rebounds, and 1.5 steals in 29.9 minutes. The Wizards have a back-to-back scheduled following Wednesday night, so there's a good chance Middleton will sit out more action later in the week.Source: NBA Injury Report
2 weeks agoWashington Wizards guard Jordan Poole (elbow) is considered doubtful for Wednesday's clash against the Utah Jazz. The 2022 NBA champion has sustained an elbow contusion and may be absent for the ninth time this season. Marcus Smart (illness) and Malcolm Brogdon (ankle) have already been ruled out for Wednesday, leaving the Wizards potentially very thin in the backcourt. AJ Johnson, Bub Carrington, Colby Jones, and Jaylen Martin all received plenty of burn on Monday against the Portland Trail Blazers and look set to be heavily involved again in Wednesday's contest.Source: NBA Injury Report
2 weeks agoUtah Jazz center Walker Kessler (rest) will skip Wednesday's game against the Washington Wizards. The team has decided to give him another rest day. Kessler's absence is a signal to fantasy managers to fire up Kyle Filipowski again. He has regularly started when Kessler has been out of the lineup. On the last such occasion, Filipowski produced a full line against the Toronto Raptors, notching 18 points, 11 rebounds, three assists, two steals, and one block. As a starter, Filipowski has averaged 13.0 points, 7.8 rebounds, and 2.7 assists during his rookie campaign.Source: NBA Injury Report
2 weeks agoSacramento Kings center Domantas Sabonis (ankle) has been ruled out for at least 10 days. He sprained his right ankle during Monday's win over the Memphis Grizzlies. The team has announced that an MRI on the ankle showed a moderate sprain and that Sabonis will be re-evaluated in 10 days. This is an unfortunate setback for the Lithuanian big man, who had only just returned to the lineup from a hamstring injury. Jonas Valanciunas now looks set for another spell as Sacramento's starting center. He averaged 12.0 points and 12.2 rebounds during Sabonis' previous absence.Source: ESPN
2 weeks agoMemphis Grizzlies point guard Ja Morant (hamstring) will be out for a third straight game on Wednesday against the Portland Trail Blazers. He is experiencing soreness in his left calf, and there's no reason to risk his health since Memphis is comfortably sitting in a playoff spot. With Scotty Pippen Jr. (wrist) also unavailable, Desmond Bane and Luke Kennard made up the starting backcourt in Monday's matchup against the Sacramento Kings. Bane went berserk with 7-for-7 shooting from downtown and netted a season-high 44 points. Pippen Jr. is considered questionable for Wednesday, so the same scenario could repeat itself against Portland.Source: NBA Injury Report
2 weeks agoLos Angeles Lakers forward LeBron James (groin) will miss a sixth straight game on Wednesday against the Denver Nuggets. He continues to work his way back from a left groin strain suffered against the Boston Celtics on March 8. James is also expected to miss the second leg of a back-to-back on Thursday against the Milwaukee Bucks. During James' absence, Jordan Goodwin has joined the starting lineup, while Austin Reaves has significantly increased his offensive output. Over the last five games, Reaves has averaged 28.0 points, 7.0 rebounds, and 7.6 assists.Source: NBA Injury Report
