2 weeks agoGolden State Warriors guard/forward Gary Payton II (knee) has been tagged as questionable for Thursday's encounter with the Toronto Raptors. He is battling soreness in his left knee. If he is not cleared to play, Payton II will miss his second game of the month. Golden State has used Payton II more often in March, as the veteran has averaged 21.6 minutes per game. He has shown off some outstanding shooting form, nailing 62.7 percent of his attempts from the field to average 12.3 points with 3.7 rebounds and 1.3 steals. Jonathan Kuminga and Buddy Hield will likely get more work off the bench if Payton II is ruled out on Thursday.Source: NBA Injury Report
2 weeks agoToronto Raptors guard/forward Ja'Kobe Walter (hip) will sit out a seventh consecutive game on Thursday against the Golden State Warriors. Walter hasn't played since March 7 due to a right hip flexor injury. It's unclear when the rookie will be cleared for action. With Gradey Dick (knee) also out of commission, the Raptors have given more looks to A.J. Lawson, Jamal Shead, and Jamison Battle. Lawson has put together a few standout performances but has gone quiet in recent contests, shooting only 8-for-23 from the field while totaling 21 points across the last two games.Source: NBA Injury Report
2 weeks agoToronto Raptors guard/forward Gradey Dick (knee) has been ruled out for Thursday's game against the Golden State Warriors. Two weeks ago, it was announced that Dick will be re-evaluated around March 18, but there have been no updates on his status. The 21-year-old will continue to sit due to a bone bruise on his right knee, missing a ninth consecutive game on Thursday night. With Dick out, Jamison Battle, A.J. Lawson, and Jamal Shead will continue to log additional minutes. Lawson has been the best fantasy contributor of the three players, averaging 19.8 points, 6.8 rebounds, and 2.0 assists over the last five games.Source: NBA Injury Report
2 weeks agoToronto Raptors center Jakob Poeltl (rest) has been removed from the injury report ahead of Thursday's game against the Golden State Warriors, indicating that he will return to the lineup. Toronto has begun to rest Poeltl regularly, and he did not play on Monday night against the Phoenix Suns. Even when he has been in action, the Raptors have limited Poeltl's playing time. He has averaged 23.2 minutes per game this month, notching 16.4 points and 7.2 rebounds. Orlando Robinson, Jonathan Mogbo, and Colin Castleton lose fantasy value with Poeltl's return.Source: NBA Injury Report
2 weeks agoToronto Raptors forward RJ Barrett (rest) will be out of the lineup for a third straight game on Thursday against the Golden State Warriors. Barrett has missed a pair of games due to an illness and will be rested on Thursday night. His absence has created more scoring opportunities for Immanuel Quickley and Scottie Barnes. Meanwhile, Jamison Battle has taken on a starting role. Battle has not been comfortable in the role on the offensive end, shooting only 31.9 percent from the field. He has averaged 10.3 points and 4.8 rebounds since moving to the first unit.Source: NBA Injury Report
2 weeks agoCharlotte Hornets shooting guard Marcus Garrett (back) is considered questionable for Thursday's tilt against the New York Knicks. He had been added to the injury report due to low back soreness. Garrett has made four appearances for Charlotte since signing a 10-day contract with the team, averaging 7.0 points and 3.3 assists in 19.8 minutes. He had by far his best game on Tuesday against the Atlanta Hawks when LaMelo Ball (wrist) and Miles Bridges (illness) both sat out the action. The Hornets leaders are expected to return on Thursday, making it likely that Garrett will only play a small role in the rotation if he's cleared for the contest.Source: NBA Injury Report
2 weeks agoCharlotte Hornets forward/center Moussa Diabate (knee) has been listed as questionable for Thursday's clash against the New York Knicks. He injured his right knee on Tuesday against the Atlanta Hawks. Fortunately, it seems that Diabate has avoided serious injury, but he may still have to sit out some action to fully recover. With Mark Williams and Jusuf Nurkic both in the lineup, Diabate doesn't have significant fantasy value. The 23-year-old has averaged 4.4 points and 3.5 rebounds in 13.1 minutes since the start of March.Source: NBA Injury Report
2 weeks agoBrooklyn Nets forward Cameron Johnson (rest) will sit out Thursday's game against the Indiana Pacers. The Nets want to give him some rest, resulting in Johnson's second absence this month. Trendon Watford and Noah Clowney are the leading candidates to fill Johnson's spot in the starting lineup and could see an increase in playing time. Meanwhile, the offensive usage of players such as D'Angelo Russell, Ziaire Williams, and Nicolas Claxton appears poised for a boost.Source: NBA Injury Report
2 weeks agoCharlotte Hornets forward Miles Bridges (illness) is listed as probable heading into Thursday's encounter with the Knicks. He didn't suit up for Tuesday's loss to the Atlanta Hawks. DaQuan Jeffries entered the starting lineup, amassing a team-high (tied) 19 points with five boards and two blocks. But with Bridges and LaMelo Ball (wrist) expected to get back on the floor, Jeffries will be tough to trust in any fantasy setup.Source: NBA Injury Report
2 weeks agoCharlotte Hornets guard LaMelo Ball (wrist) is expected to play on Thursday versus the Knicks. Statistically, the 23-year-old has had a fantastic 2024-25 campaign, averaging a career-high 25.4 points with 7.2 assists, 5.1 rebounds, and 1.2 steals. However, as has been the case over the years, he's missed time due to various injuries, limiting him to only 44 games. Ball was most recently sidelined for Tuesday's loss to the Atlanta Hawks, paving the way for Damion Baugh to enter the starting lineup and finish with 11 points, nine boards, five assists, and one steal. Yet, Baugh won't see much attention from fantasy managers if Ball officially gets the green light. That will still apply if Miles Bridges (illness) misses another contest.Source: NBA Injury Report
2 weeks agoMilwaukee Bucks guard/forward Gary Trent Jr. (knee) is regarded as probable for Thursday's meeting with the Los Angeles Lakers. He is on the injury report with left patella tendinopathy. However, it is only a minor ailment, and Trent Jr. is expected to play on Thursday. When he gets the official clearance, Trent Jr. will attempt to stretch a scoring streak of 10-plus points to five games. It would be his second-longest such streak of the season. If he suffers a significant setback that takes him out of the lineup, the Bucks will look to receive greater contributions from AJ Green and Kevin Porter Jr.Source: NBA Injury Report
2 weeks agoMilwaukee Bucks point guard Damian Lillard (groin) is expected to be in the lineup on Thursday against the Los Angeles Lakers, as the team lists him as probable on the injury report. A sore groin has not prevented Lillard from being in the lineup throughout the month, and he is likely to play through the injury again on Thursday. Lillard has been experiencing a small scoring slump recently, finishing back-to-back games with fewer than 20 points. This season, he has had only one three-game streak of scoring under 20 points.Source: NBA Injury Report
2 weeks agoMilwaukee Bucks forward/center Giannis Antetokounmpo (knee) has been listed as probable for Thursday's tilt against the Los Angeles Lakers. Antetokounmpo is expected to make a 16th consecutive appearance despite dealing with right patella tendinopathy. Milwaukee's leading man has been a bit quiet in the scoring department for a couple of games, yet Antetokounmpo continues to fill up the stat sheet. Last time out against the Golden State Warriors, he had 20 points with nine rebounds, seven assists, two blocks, and three steals.Source: NBA Injury Report
2 weeks agoMemphis Grizzlies forward/center Santi Aldama (calf) will re-enter the lineup on Wednesday against the Portland Trail Blazers. He has recovered from a right calf strain, which kept Aldama sidelined for six consecutive games. With Aldama back, Brandon Clarke's workload will likely drop. The Spanish big man has been one of the best bench contributors in the Association this season, averaging 12.7 points, 6.7 rebounds, and 2.8 assists. Portland is known for giving up a lot of bench points -- the fourth-most in the league -- which puts Aldama in a good position to enjoy a productive comeback on Wednesday night.Source: Memphis Grizzlies PR
2 weeks agoMemphis Grizzlies point guard Scotty Pippen Jr. (wrist) will be back in the lineup on Wednesday against the Portland Trail Blazers. He is good to go again after missing Monday's tilt against the Sacramento Kings due to a sore left wrist. With Ja Morant (hamstring) on the shelf, Pippen Jr. could take on a significant role in Wednesday's matchup. He has averaged 12.4 points, 4.0 rebounds, and 5.8 assists this season in games without Morant. Pippen Jr.'s return will probably lead to Desmond Bane, who posted a season-high 44 points on Monday, being less involved in the offense. Luke Kennard will also lose fantasy value.Source: Memphis Grizzlies PR
